QSound Joins New ACCESS Connect Ecosystem (ACE) Global Partner Program

The 2007 3GSM World Congress held February 12 – 15 in Barcelona, Spain marked the launch of the ACCESS Connect Ecosystem (ACE) Global Partner Program with QSound Labs as one of the charter members. The ACE Partner Program is a global initiative to catalyse the growth of the mobile Linux market and brings together telecommunications, consumer electronics and media companies in an ecosystem of world-class partners.  ACCESS, supplier of the globally popular Garnet mobile platform formerly known as Palm OS and developer of the ACCESS Linux Platform for mobile devices, created the new Partner Program to ”unleash the potential of the digital life generation by driving development and adoption of new mobile and converged technologies and solutions.”

“The ACCESS Connect Ecosystem Partner Program’s strategic imperative is to accelerate the growth and momentum of the digital lifestyle and ubiquitous networks worldwide enabled through mobile phones and converged devices," said Toru Arakawa, CEO, president and co-founder of ACCESS. "We believe that this program will not only foster exciting revenue-generating opportunity for mobile operators, infrastructure providers and software developers; but it will also make it easier for consumers to access their digital data anytime, anywhere through a wide variety of mobile phones and converged devices."

“QSound is pleased to announce participation as a charter member in the ACE Partner Program that includes major corporations such as Hitachi, Infineon, Marvell, Orange, PacketVideo, Sprint Nextel, Tensilica, Texas Instruments and over 45 leading mobile carriers, device and chip manufacturers, software developers and content providers", said David Gallagher, President and Chief Executive Officer. “This is another example of QSound’s exposure and momentum in extending its reach into the mobile device market.”
